Mexican Pizza Recipe: It’s an American-Mexican recipe loaded with black kidney beans, veggies, cheese, and herbs. It is a very enjoyable dish that is full of flavors.
INGREDIENTS
Pizza Topping:
- 2-3 Cups baked beans (kidney beans)
- 3-4 finely chopped onions
- 9-10 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup
- Salt
- Ghee
- Butter
- Jalapeno
- Oregano
- Chilli Flakes
- Baby Corn
- Capsicum
- 1_2 Cups Tomato Puree
- Some sliced black olives
Spicy Sauce:
- 1 Kg chopped Tomatoes
- 1 chopped Onion
- 6 dry Red Chillies
- 2 Tbsp Oil
- 3 tsp Sugar
- 1/2 tsp carom seeds (Ajwain)
- To taste Salt
Garnishing:
- 1/2 Cup Sour Cream
- 1 cup grated Cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped Spring onions
- Diced coriander.
- Sliced Jalapenos.
PREPARATION
Pizza base
- Take all-purpose flour, add 2-3 tsp of olive oil and salt and make a soft dough with water.
- Make thin rounds and deep fry in oil till crisp.
- Keep aside.
Pizza topping
- Soak the beans overnight, boil and drain. Also, mash the beans.
- Heat ghee and butter at once. Saute the onions till transparent. Add the beans to it and mix well.
- Stir in the tomato puree, ketchup, and salt.
- Cook till the color gets dark and keep it aside.
Spicy Sauce
- Soak the chilies in half a cup of water.
- Now saute the onions in the oil and add the tomatoes and chilies with the water. Stir till the tomatoes are cooked.
- Cool, and whisk them in a mixture grinder.
- Further, cook the sauce. As well add the carom seeds (ajwain), sugar, and salt. Cook for 8-10 minutes and keep aside.
Pizza Preparation
- Take the pizza and spread some baked beans, jalapenos, and sauce.
- Then add toppings.
- Additionally, sprinkle some onions and spread some sour cream.
- At last, spread some cheese and grill for 4-5 minutes.
- Finally, garnish the pizza with coriander.
