Mushroom Sandwich: It’s an easy-to-make recipe, mushrooms stuffing in bread slices, that tastes cheesy and crispy. You can enjoy it anytime as breakfast or as an evening snack. You can also serve this yummy mushroom sandwich with a cup of hot tea or coffee.

INGREDIENTS

  • bread slices
  • half cup mushrooms chopped
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped onion 
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped capsicum 
  • Pinch of pepper powder
  • half tsp garam masala powder
  • 4 tbsp grated mozzarella cheese
  • salt to taste
  • 2-3 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste

 

PREPARATION

 

  • Heat oil in a pan – add cumin, add ginger garlic paste, cook a few minutes, add onion and salt, and saute till it gets transparent.
  • Now add capsicum and saute again.
  • Then add cleaned and chopped mushrooms, and saute and don’t let out much water.
  • Cook for a few minutes then add pepper powder and garam masala powder.
  • Saute for 2-3 mins and turn off the heat. 
  • Take bread slices, add a generous amount of mushroom filling then sprinkle cheese over the stuffing.
  • Put another slice of bread, and spread butter on top.
  • Cook until the sandwich turns golden and crisp.
  • Cut slices and serve hot.

Note: Make sure that the mushrooms you are using in Mushroom Sandwich are fresh, cleaned, and rinsed thoroughly.
