White Sauce Pasta / Bechamel Sauce Pasta

WHITE SAUCE PASTA RECIPE: White Sauce Pasta Recipe’s key ingredient is the white sauce which is made up of butter, milk, and flour whose texture is creamy and smooth. It tastes very cheesy and buttery. 

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup Pasta
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4-5 cups of Water
  • ½ tsp Oil
  • chopped Carrot
  • chopped Green Capsicum
  • chopped Red Capsicum
  • chopped Broccoli
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped Garlic
  • Salt to taste

 

For White Sauce:

  • 1½ tbsp Butter
  • 1½ tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1½ cups Milk (250 ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried Oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chilli Flakes
  • Some crushed black Pepper Powder
  • mixed herbs
  • cheese (for garnishing)
  • Salt to taste

 

DIRECTIONS

  • Take 4-5 cups of water in a saucepan, and bring it to a boil over medium flame. Add pasta and half a teaspoon of salt. Boil them until cooked. It will take around 10-12 minutes. 
  • Shift cooked pasta to a large strainer and empty the excess water.
  • While pasta is cooking, heat 1/2 teaspoon of oil in a pan. Add 1/4 cup chopped carrot, 1/4 cup chopped green capsicum, 1/4 cup chopped red capsicum, 1/4 cup chopped broccoli, and salt.
  • Stir and cook until veggies are cooked but stay crunchy, cook for 2-3 minutes. Turn off the gas and move them to a plate.
  • Besides heat some butter in the pan. Add 1/2 teaspoon finely chopped garlic and sauté for 20-30 seconds.
  • Add 1½ tablespoons maida (all-purpose flour). Stir constantly and cook for a minute.
  • Pour 1½ cups milk slowly while stirring continuously with a whisk.
  • Stir and mix for 1-2 minutes.
  • Reduce flame to low. Keep on blending so that the combination begins to thicken.
  • When the mixture coats the back of a spoon, it starts to thicken.
  • Add 1/4 teaspoon oregano, 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes, a pinch of black pepper powder, and salt.
  • Mix well and add sautéed vegetables and pasta. Then turn off the flame. 
  • Transmit it to a serving plate. White sauce pasta is now prepared. 
  • Garnish with grated cheese and serve hot.

Tips: White Sauce Pasta Recipe: You can serve white pasta with garlic bread. Moreover, if you need to reheat white pasta afterward, you can add some milk or cream to retrieve its rich creamy texture.
